Professional Use Only – MAPP No. 14931
For selective control of broad-leaved weeds in established grassland.

Lupo is a selective herbicide formulated to control annual and perennial broad-leaved weeds in established grassland. It is particularly effective against ragwort, docks, buttercups, nettles, and thistles, making it an essential tool for pasture and paddock management.

⚠️ Not clover-safe – Application will damage clover populations in treated areas.

  • Rainfast: Becomes rainfast within 6 hours of application.

  • Grazing Restrictions: Keep livestock off treated land for at least 14 days post-application.

  • Cutting Restrictions: Do not mow or roll for 7 days before or after application. Ensure all weeds are dead before cutting.

  • Pack Size: 10 litres.

🔬 Active Ingredients

  • 2,4-D: 360 g/L (30.0% w/w)

  • MCPA: 315 g/L (26.2% w/w)

🧪 Dilution & Application Rates

  • Boom Sprayer: Dilute 10L of Lupo in at least 200L of water.

  • Knapsack Sprayer: Mix 45ml of Lupo per 5L of water.

📅 Application Guidelines

  • Optimal Timing: Apply between March and October when grass is no more than 25 cm high.

  • Weed Growth Stage: For effective control, especially of docks and ragwort, apply when weeds are in the rosette stage with foliage approximately 200mm across.

  • Post-Cutting/Grazing: Allow weeds to regrow for at least 7 days after cutting or grazing before application.

  • Crop Rotation: Do not sow any crop into soil treated with Lupo for at least 3 months post-application.

  • Application Frequency: Limit to one treatment per year on established grassland.

⚠️ Safety & Environmental Information

  • Protective Measures: Wear appropriate eye protection, face protection, protective clothing, and protective gloves during handling and application.

  • Environmental Precautions: Very toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects. Avoid contamination of water bodies. Do not clean application equipment near surface water; avoid contamination via drains from farmyards and roads.

  • Post-Treatment Handling: Treated ragwort becomes more palatable and contains higher toxin levels. Ensure all ragwort has completely recovered or died before allowing livestock to graze. Do not include treated ragwort in hay or silage crops.
