Key points:
Contains 3 active ingredients with an exceptionally broad spectrum against weeds.
Ensures long-term control by targeting the roots.
Rainfast within 2 hours of application.
Convenient pack size treats up to 5 acres.
Provides excellent grass safety, suitable for newly established grassland once tillering has commenced.
Can be applied using a boom sprayer or knapsack.
Apply a 'medium' spray as defined by BCPC.
Grazing animal exclusion for 7 days (longer if poisonous weeds such as ragwort are present).
Due to the increased demand for manure to replace peat in some manufactured composts and for home-grown vegetable production, products containing clopyralid, like Leystar, should not be used on grass intended for haymaking to minimize the risk of clopyralid residues affecting sensitive crops.
Recommended personal protective equipment (PPE) when using Leystar includes a face shield, gloves, and coveralls. Check our safety clothing bundle for discounted prices.
Refer to the Leystar label for a comprehensive list of controlled weeds and other significant weed species.
For application timings on key weeds, refer to the Application Rate tab.
Application notes and guidance:
For optimal results, apply to small and actively growing weeds.
Weeds not present at the time of application will not be controlled.
Allow a 4-week interval after application before cutting grass to maximize herbicide effectiveness.
Avoid rolling or harrowing grass for 10 days before or 7 days after application.
Do not spray in areas where clover or other legumes are valuable components of the sward.
Grass seed can be stitched in 1 month after application.
Clover can be stitched in 3 months after application.
Grazing can resume just 7 days after application, although this period may need to be extended if foliage of poisonous weeds like ragwort is present.
Avoid spraying during drought, extreme heat, or very cold weather conditions.
In store collection only from our Masham, Northallerton and Leyburn stores.
